Tokens are used when you generate course content using AI. Course Magic employs the OpenAI service from Microsoft Azure, which automatically tracks the number of tokens utilised and relays that data back to us.
We have no control over the number of tokens used. On average, there are about 250 words for every 1,000 tokens, it can also be affected by factors such as formatting and prompts.
How do I check token usage?
Step 1
Log In to your Course Magic account and click on the Billing tab on your dashboard.

Check the Token history
This section displays the name of the user who generated the tokens, along with the total number of tokens used (including prompt and completion), organised by specific date and time.
How do I add tokens?
When you have exhausted your tokens, you can easily purchase additional tokens by selecting Add tokens and review all subscription plans, which provide a greater allocation of tokens for your content creation needs. Proceed with your token purchase here.
